What is Wager

Wager – what is it? How to convert it?

Online casinos reward users with various bonus offers. But to get these amounts, you need to wager them.

What is a wager in an online casino

This is the minimum amount of bets that a gambler needs to make in order to transfer the bonus to their balance. The wager is calculated by the formula, coefficient*x, where x is the amount of the bonus (may include the amount of the deposit).

In addition to this indicator, an online casino may impose certain restrictions on the use of bonus funds:

  1. Limit on the amount of the bet. Often, online establishments prohibit players from making large “bets”.
  2. Restrictions on the choice of slot machines. The casino allows wagering the bonus only on the slots specified in the rules of the promotion.
  3. Different share of stake contribution to wagering depending on the type of game.
  4. Time limit. The rules indicate how long it takes to roll the wager. As a rule, the bonus is canceled in case of withdrawal of funds before the wagering requirements are met.

Wagering conditions

Requirements will depend on the type of bonus:

  • for registration. Does not require money. As a rule, online casinos credit up to 100% of the deposit amount to the gambler’s bonus account, setting a wager of 30x–40x. In addition to the welcome bonus, the player can also receive free spins;
  • for the 2nd, 3rd and subsequent deposits. Typically, the casino gives players bonuses in the amount of 25%, 50% or 100% of the money they deposit. The wagering requirement is usually lower than the wagering requirement for the first deposit bonus;
  • regular visitors. The online casino credits players with bonus funds once a week or a month during the period of reload promotions for the total amount of deposits or bets made. Usually the wager is no more than 20x;
  • VIP players – bonuses are given to users who deposit large sums and make high bets. Gambling clubs set average wagering values, but often gamblers are limited by a low percentage of stakes contribution to wagering;
  • in the form of free spins. The money won during free spins (if all bets lose, the player will not receive anything) must be wagered, and the wager can even be 50x.

In addition, some casinos offer a bonus in the form of cashback – the player gets back part of the money lost. The bonus is issued if the amount of losses exceeded a specific amount, the wager in this case is small.

Recommendations for successful wagering:

  1. make average bets (if allowed by the rules);
  2. choose bonus offers with a wager that is set only for additionally accrued money;
  3. focus on bonuses with a long validity period.
