Give Dominick his Freedom to Achieve!
I’ve been thinking about this post for a few days now. How would I approach it and how would I communicate it with you. Fact is, it’s not every day that you meet people that embody what Seth Godin talks about as ‘Remarkable’.

Dominick Evans is a remarkable person. I have gotten to know Dominick quite well in the past year and I have seen him evolve as a person. His generosity and good spirit helped this family get presents this Christmas where maybe they would not have been able to.The social media space has given Dominick a voice. His consistent presence on twitter helping inspire others to reach their goals is amazing. Well, now it’s time we helped Dominick. See, Dominicks body is confined to a wheelchair but his brain is soaring and by golly he needs some transportation!
Dominick has personal goals and has a vision for what he would like to be able to do in terms of his quality of life and he is reaching out to the community for a hand. Dominick needs a wheelchair accessible van. Yea, I know it’s expensive, but frankly this could be life changing for him. Lets help Dom get around. Lets help him get back to school. Lets help him achieve his dreams and give him the freedom to act on his goals and desires.

Have you checked into government assistance? For example, down here in Texas, there is a mildly obscure state program that will fund the full cost of the conversion (but not the base van) if the van will enable the owner to get/keep a (better) job. Can’t remember the name of the department here, but it’s a side function of a department focused on increasing employment of people with disabilities.
Grass roots that’s why I love the Internet! Thanks for this great opportunity to make a difference.

I’ve exhausted potential govt/charitable resources. None will help with anything I need. Eventually, I plan to make my organization MDP United non-profit so I can be the one helping others get these things!
We just put up a website with a lot more information on Dom, where your funds are going, how you can help, pictures, and more. We’ll be adding more posts about Dom (and our family - we also have a son with Bi Polar/Aspergers who would benefit if we moved to a more accessible house in a new county where better services are available for him)
I plan to shoot a video of the house and the path through it Dominick can’t take in his wheelchair. Living off a bus route is the main reason we need the van, because if we move, we have no way to get him to the new, more accessible home.
Good luck, Dom, in reaching your goal. I admire your initiative.
Thank you, Keith, for helping get the word out. Your support is awesome.
Keith, great post. Way to help Dom. I just blasted FF, Twitter and FB.
I’ll also be adding some coin to the fund.
C’mon everyone - just a drop in the bucket could make this overflow!
